"We risk, we run, we come undone"
Kristi Lei is an Americana singer-songwriter and international music educator from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Her music blends heartfelt storytelling, rich harmonies, and catchy melodies that invite audiences to have fun, while also encouraging them to truly listen to the lyrics.
Kristi began writing songs at 16 and has since performed across the U.S. and Europe, sharing both original music and fresh takes on pop, country, folk, and classic rock covers. After earning her degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, she spent several years living and teaching abroad in Brno, Czech Republic, where she recorded her debut EP, Becoming Memories.
Now based back in the U.S., Kristi continues to write, perform, and teach, drawing inspiration from her travels, her students, and artists like Joni Mitchell, Heather Maloney, and Sara Bareilles. Her upcoming album, Unknown Fate, delves deeper into themes of change, resilience, and rediscovery — continuing her journey of creating music that moves people to tap their feet, sing along, and feel something real.
